AI Search Optimization

When a customer asks ChatGPT who to call, is it you?

More customers now ask an AI engine for a recommendation than scroll a results page. ChatGPT, Google AI, Perplexity and Copilot each name two or three businesses and move on. We find out whether you are one of them, and if not, we fix the reasons.

Start with a $497 audit. Cash or on trade. Credited toward the setup.

How AI engines decide

They do not read your homepage. They read everything else about you.

AI engines build their recommendation from your Google Business Profile, your Yelp and Facebook listings, what people say about you on YouTube and Reddit, and whether your own pages give a clear answer they can quote. Four numbers from the research we work from:

28.63%

of the citations behind AI local answers point at Google Business Profile, the single largest source (BrightLocal, August 2026).

80%

of ChatGPT answers to local service questions cite Yelp. If your Yelp listing is thin or wrong, so is the answer (BrightLocal, August 2026).

0.74

correlation between YouTube mentions of a brand and its AI visibility, the strongest of any signal measured across 75,000 brands. Backlinks scored 0.22 (Ahrefs, 2026).

First lines

Bing's guidance for its AI answers: clear headings, a direct answer up top, FAQ sections, tables, and current dates. Google says it needs nothing special beyond an indexable page (Bing Webmaster, February 2026; Google Search Central, June 2026).

Three steps, one decision at a time

Start with the audit. Decide the rest after you have seen it.

Step 1

AI Search Readiness Audit

Find out, in five business days, whether AI engines recommend you today.

  • We ask ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Copilot and Claude fifteen real customer questions about your kind of business in your area, and log who they recommend. You, or a competitor.
  • We check whether the AI search crawlers can reach your site, whether your business facts match across Google Business Profile, Yelp, BBB, Facebook and LinkedIn, and whether your pages give an answer an engine can quote.
  • You get a one page scorecard, the prompt log, and the five fixes that matter most, in plain language.

Credited in full toward Step 2 if you go ahead within 30 days.

Step 2

AI Search Setup

We do the fixes. Thirty days, one price, before and after proof.

  • Crawler access and structured data: Organization, LocalBusiness, Service and FAQ markup, with links that tie your site to your Google, Yelp, Facebook and LinkedIn profiles so engines treat you as one business, not five.
  • Listings cleanup: the same name, address, phone and hours everywhere an engine looks, plus Bing Webmaster Tools, sitemap submission and IndexNow so Copilot and Bing see new pages the day they go up.
  • Five answer pages written for the questions your customers actually ask, structured the way engines quote: the question as the heading, the answer in the first lines, a short FAQ underneath.
  • Measurement: Google Search Console's AI report, Bing's AI Performance report, and an AI assistant channel in your analytics, so you can see traffic that came from a chatbot.
  • Day 30: we re-run the same fifteen prompts and send you the before and after.

$2,500, cash or on trade

One time. Includes everything in the audit.

Step 3, optional

AI Search Monthly

Keep showing up as the engines change.

  • Monthly prompt tracking across the five engines, with a one page report of who got recommended and why.
  • One new answer page every month, written from the questions your customers asked that month.
  • Listings and review monitoring, with a note when something drifts or a review needs a reply.

$397 per month, cash or on trade

No contract. Cancel any month.

What it takes from you

About two hours, total.

  • A 45 minute kickoff call.
  • Access to your website, Google Business Profile, and Bing or Search Console if you have them. We set up what is missing.
  • Ten questions your customers ask you most, in your own words.
  • A photo of the owner or the team, and three sentences about the business.

What we will not promise

A guaranteed mention.

The engines decide who they name, and they change their minds. What we promise is the work and the proof: the audit with every prompt logged, every fix on the setup list done, and the same prompts re-run on day 30 so you see what moved. If the audit shows nothing is fixable on your side, we say so and stop there.

Questions

What owners ask before they say yes.

Is this SEO?

It is the part of SEO that AI engines read. Classic SEO chases a ranking on a results page. AI search optimization makes sure that when ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Perplexity or Copilot answer a customer's question with a recommendation, your business is the one named. The two overlap, and the work here helps your Google ranking too.

What does on trade mean?

Same price, paid in trade dollars through our barter exchange instead of cash. Megan walks you through it; most members are set up in a day.

Can you guarantee we will show up?

No, and nobody honest can. The engines decide. What we guarantee is the work: the audit with the prompt log, every fix in the setup list, and the before and after comparison on day 30, so you can see exactly what changed.

How long before anything changes?

Listings and structured data changes are usually picked up within days by Bing and Copilot and within a few weeks by Google. Recommendations in ChatGPT and Perplexity follow your presence on Google, Yelp and YouTube, which builds over months. The day 30 re-run shows the first movement.

Do we need a new website?

Almost never. The setup works on the site you have. If your site cannot be crawled at all, we tell you in the audit before you spend anything else.

Which engines do you check?

ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, and Claude. The same fifteen prompts on every one, logged with the date.
